Why Nude living?

WHY NOT?

Many Nude living enthusiasts will sit around all day discussing the philosophy of their way of life, fine tuning definitions of what is meant by Nudist or Naturist. At the end of the day however they mostly agree that the reason that they like a way of life which accepts social Nudity, is for the feeling of freedom that it brings.

People inside and outside of the lifestyle will debate the harmful effects that might surround such social freedom. We at Virtually, however, have no interest in these pathetic debates. Society, especially North American society, is still stuck in the dark ages with its highly immature and disrespectful attitudes towards the human body. While it is acceptable for many to see;

• outrageous violence in films & on TV (or even on the streets),
• huge sections of our "civilized" population living in poverty & despair, and
• politicians spending our future into the ground;

it is in many places still acceptable for these many people to treat simple Nudity as a crime. People are drawn towards this lifestyle, like a school child is drawn towards mischief, precisely because it is taboo. And the sense of freedom for many people comes largely from having gotten away with it.

Once drawn into the lifestyle though, most people quickly realize that far from the harmful effects that society warns against, social Nudity is a most wonderful caring experience that enhances human relations, reduces stress, and gives a feeling of purpose. And why not? Clothing, not Nudity, was imposed on us all. People have to be taught to be ashamed of their bodies. Social Nudity is physiological need as well as a right which we have been denied. And the problems which that denial causes are problems which society has created, is paying for, and will continue to pay for, until it finally grows up and stops treating the human body as obscene.

For us who enjoy social Nudity, we just do it because it's fun. At Virtually it is our purpose to promote this wonderful lifestyle by:

• reporting on Nude living events and experiences,
• linking the Nude living community through announcements and ads,
• displaying it visually with lots of high quality photography, and
• by attracting more people into the lifestyle with the best darned magazine that you'll ever see.
